Poppy Boucher

Poppy Boucher

Poppy started dancing at 8 and quickly decided she loved it! Poppy has trained in all styles of dance however now focuses on contemporary, jazz and lyrical. Poppy has been a member of the Junior Extension Training (JET) and Intensive Training Program (ITP) with The Academy of Classical Ballet. She has competed at eisteddfods as a soloist and as a team member of troupes with The Academy of Classical Ballet for many years.
In 2022 Poppy successfully completed her Certificate III in Dance and Units 1&2 in VCE Dance (via distance education). For VCE Dance, she was awarded an A+ for her own choreographed contemporary solo. In 2022 Poppy was fortunate to join the Melbourne based, Transit Dance Origins Elevate Contemporary program. Poppy loved her time with Transit where she was taught by many talented teachers and performed in a MOVE mid year showcase and SUPERHUMAN end of year performance (where Poppy was in many group dances, trios, duos and a small solo). Poppy was also lucky to be awarded the Most Improved Dancer Award at The Academy of Classical Ballet in 2022.
Poppy loved performing in the successful The Academy of Classical Ballet troupes last year and is looking forward to troupes again in the future.
In 2023 Poppy will be doing Year 12 at Damascus College, VCE 3&4 in Dance, assistant teaching at The Academy and teaching dance as a freelance teacher in Ballarat. Poppy is looking forward to a fantastic (and busy) year with lots of dance! She is thankful for the opportunity to pursue her love of dance and to teach students at The Academy of Classical Ballet.
