Tahlia Horsburgh

Tahlia has 25 years of dance training and performance experience in classical ballet, jazz, tap, song & dance, contemporary and musical theatre. 

Tahlia’s training includes three years of professional tuition at the Australian Ballet School, two years at the Christine Walsh School of Ballet and 6 years with Kellie Fishwick, Director of The Academy of Classical Ballet. 

Tahlia has received vocal training under the expertise of Connie Lemke, Philip Johnson and Andy McCalman.

Tahlia completed the Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) Grade Examinations, all with Honours, and was awarded the RAD Intermediate Vocational Graded Examination with Distinction. Having received great recognition and awards when performing and competing throughout Victoria, Tahlia’s performance credits include productions and works such as ‘Cassandra’ in Cats, ‘Winter’ in Vivaldi’s Four Seasons, ‘Can-Can Girl’ in Calamity Jane, Soloist in Suite en Blanc, ‘Miss Hannigan’ in Annie, ‘Nala’ in The Lion King as well as a cast member in Godspell, Wicked, Carmen, Beauty and the Beast, Don Quixote, Cinderella, The Wizard of Oz and Singin’ in the Rain. Tahlia has also been a guest artist in ‘Romeo and Juliet’ with The Australian Ballet Company.

Tahlia is a highly regarded teacher of dance with 15 years teaching experience. She is competent and versatile within both the classical and theatrical genres and offers an enthusiastic, passionate and caring approach to all students.

Miss Tahlia, who resides in Creswick with husband, Nathan, and children Nixin and Maicee, teaches our young dancers at The Academy’s Creswick Campus . Tahlia is dedicated to the fun and enjoyment of performing and after taking a break to grow and nurture her own family, she is looking forward to returning to The Academy family.
